IRENA at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2019

The annual Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) is a platform for an international public and private audience to come together to discuss viable concepts for the ongoing global transformation of the energy sector.

IRENA was invited to participate in the 5th Energy Dialogue organised by the German Government. It took place from 9-10 April 2019 in Berlin. During the event, IRENA launched the 3rd edition of its Global Energy Transformation: A roadmap to 2050. For more information about BETD, visit: https://2019.energydialogue.berlin/

During BETD, IRENA and the International Energy Agency (IEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, setting a framework for future cooperation between the two agencies.

Back-to-back with the Energy Dialogue, IRENA also co-organise an International Forum on Long-term Energy Scenario (LTES). The event fed into the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) campaign on LTES and took place from 11-12 April in Berlin.
