L’IFDD et l'IRENA organisent un webinaire en ligne sur le développement de projets mini-réseaux renouvelables. Cette activité illustrera les étapes de développement de tels projets avec l’outil IRENA Project Navigator et proposera des retours d’expérience d’experts provenant d’institutions internationales. L’effet cumulé de (i) l’effondrement des prix des Energies renouvelables et de (ii) l’accélération du rythme des innovations techniques a conduit à une augmentation des investissements dans les énergies renouvelables au cours des dernières années. Parallèlement, il est admis que dans les prochaines décennies, les mini-réseaux et les systèmes autonomes permettront de réaliser la majorité des nouveaux raccordements à l’électricité particulièrement en milieu rural. L'avènement des mini-réseaux est donc en cela un facteur clé de succès de la réalisation du 7e objectif du développement durable (ODD-7) qui est de garantir l’accès de tous à des services énergétiques fiables, durables et modernes, à un coût abordable. Attirer l'investissement privé dans les mini-réseaux propres est par conséquent indispensable, et ceci nécessitera la satisfaction de conditions essentielles, dont notamment la clarté de la réglementation, la prévisibilité de l’extension du réseau national, l’alignement des tarifs sur les coûts et bien entendu le renforcement des capacités. Malgré tout, les clés du succès des mini-réseaux utilisant les énergies renouvelables restent la rentabilité, la solvabilité et la liquidité des projets d’énergie durable pour les rendre éligibles aux marchés financiers privés, dont le potentiel seul est à la mesure du formidable défi de l’ODD-7.
