Two weeks before the second session of the Preparatory Commission will take place in Sharm El-Sheikh, IRENA welcomed two more African States. IRENA´s Statute was signed by the Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania in Germany, H.E. Ahmada Ngemera, and the Ambassador of the Togolese Republic in Germany, H.E. Essohanam Comlo Paka. Mr. Thomas Meister, Head of Division for International Energy Policy at the German Federal Foreign Office, was present for the signings. Tanzania and Togo thereby raise IRENA´s Signatory States to 98.
