Fifth Assembly of IRENA
The fifth session of the IRENA Assembly was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on 17-18 January 2015. The IRENA Assembly provided an opportunity to discuss the future of renewable energy in light of developments such as declining costs, effective business models and available investment, which have created momentum for increased uptake of renewable energy worldwide. The Assembly also took an in-depth look at relevant issues countries are facing in their transitions to a sustainable energy future, and showcased a number of flagship activities as part of a broader consideration of the Agency’s vision for the future.
