Fostering peer-to-peer dialogue and multistakeholder action in support of energy transitions.
As IRENA’s World Energy Transitions Outlook series highlights, energy transitions at the speed and scale necessary to meet global climate and development objectives requires unprecedent action and cooperation.
Against this background, Collaborative Frameworks seek to facilitate peer-to-peer collaboration and knowledge exchange on key aspects of the energy transition. They also serve as multi-stakeholder platforms for co-operation and co-ordinated action, bringing public, private, intergovernmental and non-governmental actors together to support and accelerate the global energy transformation.
The frameworks were established in response to requests from IRENA's Members during governing body meetings to facilitate targeted collaboration to seize opportunities and address challenges in areas of strategic importance.
The priorities of each Collaborative Framework are set by Members, who also serve as co-facilitators to steer the activities under each framework.
