The event aims to showcase SIDS’ NDC implementation achievements, identify and prioritize energy transition actions and gaps across mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, and contribute to preparations for COP28 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates 2023.
IRENA hosted a series of events at COP27 (6-18 November) highlighting the urgent need to accelerate the energy transition and achieve a climate-safe future in which no one is left behind.
The event served as a launch of the joint IRENA/UN-OHRLLS report “Scaling Up Renewables in LLDCs”.

This event showcased best practices on how NDCs have been enhanced in the energy sector, and highlighted the support and finance needed to now move these targets into action.
The Indonesia G20 Presidency in 2022 commissioned IRENA to organise a virtual event to discuss in expanding solar, wind and ocean technology.
This event was the fourth segment of Grenada’s Capacity Building Programme which aimed to strengthen the capacity of relevant stakeholders to conduct energy audits to better understand and manage energy consumption.
As one of the custodians of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 on energy, IRENA will prominently participate in the 2022 Sustainable Energy for All Forum.
This event was the third segment of Grenada’s Capacity Building Programme which aimed to strengthen the capacity of relevant stakeholders to conduct energy audits to better understand and manage energy consumption.
The capacity building workshop was a national level, 2-days training that covered the theoretical aspect of climate investments and flows as well as the approaches and practices adopted to track and report these investments and financial flows.
