The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy of Mongolia, is holding a workshop to launch the publication “Strategic Heating Plan for Mongolia: Integration of Renewable Energy Solutions in Heating Systems”, a techno-economic assessment on developing renewable energy-based heating systems in Mongolia.

This workshop will be the first among multiple stakeholder engagement workshops planned as part of IRENA’s ongoing statistics support for NDC enhancement in Sudan.

In the framework of the project “Energy Solutions for Cities of the Future”, IRENA organised a capacity building event on the integration of low-temperature renewable energy sources into district energy systems targeting Southeast Europe.

The GGA, IRENA, the IGA and World Bank co-organised a series of technical sessions with the Geological Survey of Ethiopia, and other local stakeholders in the geothermal sector in Ethiopia.

Under the framework of Global Geothermal Alliance (GGA) – IRENA, the International Geothermal Association (IGA) and the World Bank co-organised a series of technical sessions with the Geological Surveys of the Caribbean Islands States, and other local stakeholders in the geothermal sector in the region.
